What is the CIS/Houston Bar Association Summer Legal Internship?

The Summer Legal Internship Program provides an opportunity for CIS high school students to participate in an eight week program with Houston area law firms.  Last year 13 CIS students received placements from 10 participating law firms. Selected students are required to attend a Job Readiness prior to beginning their internship. Throughout the program students are engaged in the following activities:

• Weekly lunch groups about the law
• Opportunity to visit a federal court judges courtroom
• Participate in a mock trial
• End of summer reception
